Description
Template or "form" (onadegon) for the building of a birchbark canoe (wigwastciman), made of white cedar. Visible under the "form" is the prepared ground (plcemon) or bedding on which the canoe will be built. The form shapes the bark, after bark is steamed and bent. The canoe was probably made at David Makokus landing on Barrière Lake (Lac-Barrière), Quebec. See also N15020 - N15028.
