- Description
-
Joseph and Louis Dumont hunting. The men hunted with rifles. Here they pose with the sled and dogs at rest. On the sled are snowshoes and the head of a moose.
The men would sometimes leave for a month in the winter, and return by canoe once everything had thawed. They were helped by dogs, especially for hunting, who pulled the sledges and knew how to live in the woods. - Format
